Provenance: before WWI belonged to Warsaw Music Conservatory; after WWII owned by the Musical Industry Central Management Authority, which, after the instrument was repaired by Eugeniusz Gosiewski in 1954, sold it on 2 Dec. 1954 at the Authority's store in Warsaw for the sum of 13,100 zlotys to the F. Chopin Music School No. 2 in Warsaw; handed over to the Ministry of Culture and the Arts on the ministry's request and included in its Collection of Violins in March 1961

Description: two-piece spruce belly; one-piece back of bird-eye maple; Polish f-holes with sharp tongues; peg box ended with a lion head; peg holes lapped; double purfling on the whole instrument; varnish in gold-brown shades, the original one only residually preserved; maintained by: T. Panufnik, E. Gosiewski, J. Karoń; presented at an exhibition held by the Polish Culture Center in Leipzig in 1980/81
